1. Choose the path

2. Confirm local-first behavior
The unit must keep its primary function if the phone, Gateway, or any later cloud path is unavailable. If that is not true, stop and fix the product before any integration work.
3. Identify the unit
Have a stable way to name the equipment (model and a unique unit identity). Exact identity fields are not published yet.

4. Read the relevant shell
- Bluetooth path: Connectivity
- Vehicle path: Gateway CAN
Do not invent message IDs or rates from these headings.
